In 2010 when I was working for Lodge Group Care UK Ltd, I was referred to Abis Resources by my organization to do a vocational study (NVQ level 2 with Literacy and Numeracy) to enhance my knowledge and skill. I was interviewed by the Director/Centre Manager of the Institute and I remembered vividly answering her that my goal is to qualify as a Nurse. Little did I know then that I was at the right place and at the right time talking to the right person? She assured me of positive support and encouraged me to be committed to my studies.

When I started that course, I received overwhelming support from the staff team that changed my life today. I did not stop at that but was also given the opportunity to complete my Advanced Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care and level 2 Functional Skills in both Mathematics and English which are the entry requirements to apply for a University degree.
 
After receiving my certificate, I applied through UCAS to study Learning Disability Nursing in the University. During this process, my lecturers at Abis Resources were very supportive giving me out of hour lectures and supporting me with references and also prepared me for the interviews. After the interview, I got an UNCONDITIONAL OFFER to study Learning Disability Nursing in London South Bank University. Today, I am proud to introduce myself as a student Nurse. This could not have been possible without the support I received at Abis Resources and the funding from the Government. I will forever remain grateful to the staff Team at Abis Resources.

I really enjoyed the Level 2 Health and Social Care, I was able to gain knowledge and understanding from this course, which has helped me perform better at my workplace.
